vi terminal coloring issue


when i was in red hat using vi via the terminal, all the text are nicely colored, now i am in novell, i couldn't get the vi to do that, any guru knows how to get the color back again? thanks

You probably want t set a colorscheme - in command mode type:
:colorscheme<space>

Then press tab to cycle through what is available and press enter to set the scheme. You can set individual preferences like this in vimrc.
