version of Netscape/Mozilla/Ff that supports '-remote "saveAs()"'

I've been trying various netscape versions today, but they either won't link against the libstdc++ version installed on Ubuntu 6.06, or won't recognise the "saveAs()" command, whose existence is proven here, at least in 1994:

http://wp.netscape.com/newsref/std/x-remote.html

Does anybody know of a way to make this work? The idea is to use a graphical browser for doing automated downloads, so that cookies are taken care of.

Many thanks,

I'm not sure if this will help or not, but I believe that wget can use cookies.

No, because the reason for wanting cookies is needing to be logged in. So the browser serves as the mechanism for getting a "logged in" cookie.

HTTP::Cookies::Netscape

seems to do what I want (untested).
