UW IMAP problem downloading IMAP folders
 

Hi all,

I installed UW IMAP server and everything runs fine. The only problem I'm having is that when my users use Outlook Express to download their IMAP folders they get EVERYTHING listed in their home directory. Does anyone know how to fix this??

I suppose you mean that other folders than INBOX is not shown?

you'll have to define your 'root folder path' i.e. ~/mail/
In outlook you can do this by choosing tools - email accounts - change/view existing email accounts - [click the right account] change now choose 'advanced settings' and go to the tab 'advanced'. There is a textfield named 'root folder path'.

If you've done this, look in tools - IMAP folders
There you'll see something like 'show only subscribed folders' Unhash this, or subscribe to your IMAP folders.

For Outlook Express you'll have to search for similar options yourself...
