UT2004 Install Problem (not the typical one)
I've tried a number of methods to install UT2004 but no matter which method I fail with the following error
UZ2: Failed to fully write [/usr/local/games/ut2004//Textures/AW-Oceanic.utx]!
./setup.sh line 148: Aborted
“$setup” “$@”
Here is the instructions I just used to attempt the install. Please Help!!!

ok try this (hope you have the hard drive space). This sort of thing happened with my old CD-ROM (before i got a DVD-ROM). Copy all the disks (copy and paste) into a folder on your desktop labeled ut2k4, then run the install from there. DONT separate disks in the folder (ie all your cutting and pasting should occur in the UT2K4 folder, not in subfolders labeled disk 1, disk 2, disk 3, etc. This helped me, might help you, if it does, tell me.

you shouldn't have to. it should find the file and keep going, without asking for the disk.

well I tried your method and I got the same error. This is getting really frustrated, I've tried every method and I always get the same error. Any other input. PLEASE!
I just wanted to add that I got the samer error again but it was with a different file name.. Also I have tried a different set of UT2004 cds and it still happens

That is odd, sorry my install method didn't help. Uh, does it install on Winblows, or could you check that.

yes it installed in Windows fine last time I used it. I'm running FC4.
I've got it installed. When I try to run the game I get the following error. I've installed the nvidia drivers for my 6800 also:
