Question Ut2003

The linux installer dies with no errors. The screens just disappear. I have googled and linux questioned around for answers, but have found none.

initially the installer does complain about Gtk being outdated.

happens on disk one about the same time frame, but I am unable to capture which file the installer dies.

I am running:

RedHat 9.0 running 2.4.20-8smp

see my profile below for my hardware goodies.

Do you have the latest version of GTK?

I have a version of GTK, although I am unsure what that ver number is.

the GTK that's installed on my machine is the same that is installed on a friend's PC. Both of us run RH9.0, therefore we are both running the same version of Gtk. He had no issue installing UT2003.

I have been able to discover the errors and why the installer is failing. Now, I just need to know how to correct the error.

Decompressed ../AbaddonArchitecture.utx.uz2 -> ../AbaddonArchitecture.utx
Decompressed ../AbaddonHardwareBrush.utx.uz2 -> ../AbaddonHardwareBrush.utx
Decompressed ../AbaddonTerrain.utx.uz2 -> ../AbaddonTerrain.utx
cp: reading `Textures/AlleriaArchitecture.utx.uz2': Input/output error failed to uncompress file.
./setup.sh: line 214: 7912 Aborted "$setup" "$@"
./setup.sh: line 214: 9507 Segmentation fault "$setup" "$@"
The setup program seems to have failed on x86/glibc-2.1

Fatal error, no tech support email configured in this setup
The program returned an error code (1)

Any ideas?

I have discovered the issue. Due to frequent power failures, I had file corruption and data loss

the files are gone, thus the error.

Now, how do I repair.

I tried to uninstall the files so that I could reload them with the RH disks. Since they are missing they can't be removed. I can reinstall because it says they are installed.

Short of a reinstall of RH, how can this be corrected? I would desperately like to find an alternate solution.
