using vsftpd through xinetd or as standalone daemon (performance)
 

Anybody has experience how the performance behaves in vsftpd if it's run through xinetd ? I'm wondering about the throughput under a load of about 1 000 connects ...

For an additional layer of security running it through xinetd looks like a good idea. Just trying to find the path between usability (performance) for such an additional layer !
