using Truecrypt in Linux

How do you access the encrypted file when you've mounted it in Linux? I use a single file, not the encrypted disc.

In Windows, it just mounts as a drive letter and I can access it normally. But when I've mounted it on a slot in my Linux install, choosing the 'open' option says that it can't be accessed, and I don't see any new drives in the file manager. How do I access it?
