Only in combination with iptables. Squid is a web proxy that allows client connections that want to access the internet. If all ports but the squid port are blocked to the client and the squid server has access to the internet, the clients will be able to browse the web but they are not able to use p2p software...
thanks for response. but i am alittle bit confused cos currently i am using ipp2p and rope with the help of iptables but it can not still stop p2p clients from resuming if it already has a peding file downloading.
