Using Quanta: Several Questions...

Question 1: I can download the following site: http://www.hotelduparc-paris.com/hot...-hotel-01.html and then edit it.

However, I cannot do the same with this site: http://www.hotelduparc-montpellier.com/ Why not? I get all of the html code, but then I cannot see the actual webpage ('Preview' mode).

Question 2: Quanta doesn't like the French accents and special characters in the first site. Why not? How can I adjust the settings so that Quanta accepts these characters?

Question 3: I'd like to be able to save an entire website, links included. In other words, when accessing the site from my computer without an Internet connection, I'd like to be able to use all the links and to go back and forth and everywhere simply by clicking on the links. How can I save an entire website like this. I've used wget and curl, but still have no idea how to do this.

Question 4: When editing an entire site (as described in Question 3), are there any special ways of saving your changes so that everything is saved. In other words, I'll be doing a lot of work on the site, I don't want to lose my work, and once I've completely finished, I'd like to be able to put it all on a USB flash drive or CD and to give it to someone. I'd like the thing to be ready to go, ready to use.

Question 5: Does anybody know of a good, basic HowTo, manual, "Getting started" Quanta guide on the Net? I've looked, but haven't been able to find one. I've found stuff that explains how to use some of the more advanced features: 'Gube', or something like that, php, etc., but not a basic tutorial. I'd like to have a look at a basic tutorial and then a more advanced tutorial, but not too advance... step-by-step, from the beginning is what I'm looking for. Something which will eventually tackle the more advanced features and techniques, but without skipping any essential steps or information.

Many thanks.

For question 1, I'm guessing that the reason the second doesn't display in Preview is due to the javascript and images. I'm not positive on that though.

For question 3 you can try an offline browser like Khttrack. It allows you to download an entire site to your local drive. Opera has a Work Offline mode that allows your to browse your cache offline, but that's only good for pages you manually visit. It won't automatically download a site.
