Using files on a windows share

Ive got about 30gb of mp3s and another 100gb of movies on a windows server I need to get to, but when i mount them in linux (fedora core 3) I cant open anything without copying it to my drive first. Is there a way around this? Seems like there should be, but I cant figure it out and I cant find anyone with similar problems. Please assume I am a complete n0b. Because I am.

Thanks a lot
Cullen

This seems simple. You should be more dedicated to the linux community. Nway Fedora like Redhat is graphical and very simple to use. After mounting the drive, right click it and choose properties. You will get some crazy options that maybe you havent come accross. But most of this are standard permissions. You can click an option alowing you to read and write. select it and click ok. I hope you get it right.

There are 10 kinds of people in the world. Those who know binary and those who don't.
