Using escape codes to print barcodes
We are using a RS6000 with AIX right now and want to migrate to a PC with Linux. We are having one printing problem which I hope someone can help me with.
We are printing a barcode on a form using a fujistu dot matrix 3830 printer.
In the AIX system we are sending the printer this command to print the barcode and it works great :
chr(27) + chr(20) + chr(16) + "R" + "6" + chr(36) + chr(12) + chr(03) + number + chr(10).
In lunix we get this error when trying to print same document :
lpr: error - unable to print file: client-error-document-format-not-supported
