Using [Mandrake 9.0] SRPMs
 

Sorry for my ignorance, but...

Is there a way of doing the following using a src.rpm?

- extract all files to usual source tree (in any given location)

- automatically apply all patches within the SRPM following the rules given in the .spec file? [i.e. in correct order, for relevant platform etc]

I know about 'rpm --rebuild blah.src.rpm' but this doesn't do what I want - the source tree is deleted once the rebuild is complete.

F.Y.I. - I am trying to build a MingW cross-compiler and want access to the fully patched source tree for gcc-3.2
