user vincent does not exist - using root?
 
im trying to install wine and i get this weird message about a user vincent. I don't know anyone named vincent and im the only one that uses this box. Anyone know what is going on?

This is a stab in the dark (i haven't install wine, but i've seen this happen before with other packages) but i think a user named vincent made the rpm and so parts are owned by them.
Since you have no vincent on your system it's just going to make the files owned by root. If I were you, I'd uninstall, rm it, download it again (or from some place else) and see if it happens again.
Cause I'm a curious person.
