I've got versiuon 1.2 of package dtc. I installed it
using apt-get install.
But I want version 1.1 of it installed instead. How do I get that ?

You should provide us at least with the most basic infos. What version of what distro do you use.

ok, its debian linux. It was the latest one from the debian download site.

Search for the package you want.
http://packages.debian.org/search?ke...ll&section=all

Then download it and use either dpkg or gdebi to install it.

By latest Debian do you mean Stable/Lenny or Testing/Squeeze?

lenny.
This isn't helping ! there's loads of dtc packages and none of them say they are version 1.1 which is what I'm looking for.
Everything's so hard in linux, makes me want to give in..
