usb mouse problem under suse 9

after i upgrade to kernel 2.6.0, things start to go wrong. Now the box wouldn't recognize the usb mouse, i have to unplug and replug in after boot to linux, then it will recognize it. How i can make the machine recognize it as soon as it boots? I used Yast to configure it but it never did remember the configuration.

When you say Yast, do you really mean Yast? I think Sax2 will help you with this.
