USB device is recognized, but wount access it's specific driver.

Hi.

I have a problem here -- a device is hooked up to the USB port. I have both USB drivers and device-specific drivers installed on the machine. When i try to access the driver it recofnizes that something is hooked up to the USB (i.e. usb driver is functioning properly), however device itself spits out an error saying that it's specific driver is not found, although the driver resides in it's proper directory.

How can i link up the device with the driver, so they see each other properly.

thank you.

NOTE: this problem is being encountered on latest Debian release, so disregard wht my profile is saying =)

What is the device and the driver that you're using? You sure that you have the right host-side USB driver?

i dont know details, since i am helping a co-worker, and he is working with something obscure... fact is that it is proper driver, which is in the proper location...
Is there a way to forcefeed a driver to the device?
