URGENT! Resizing NTFS partition size problems.

I have just resized the NTFS on my windows partition and am now attempting to change the size of the underlying partition.

Unfortunately this requires knowing how many cylinders I want the partition to use and I do not know.

I have the partition size output from ntfsresize:

27999994368 bytes.

Can I make a partition this size. If so what number should i use for last cylinder? (First is 1)

You can use Gigs or Megs for the ending size. It's also better to make the partition slightly larger than the filesystem. Then you can rerun ntfsresize /dev/hda1 to make it fit.
For example, if you want a partition to be 28Gigs , for the ending use
+28000M
