Upgrading Redhat with no internet connection

I am trying to run an upgrade to my redhat, the problem is that I don't have an internet connection and after the upgrade finishes the machine does not work.
I got an answer from support that this kind of upgrade is not supported (with no internet).
Is it true ?
If not (and I beleive its not), what do I have to do in order to upgrade correctly.

I must say, that when I do a full installation, everything works fine, the problem happen only when I upgrade my current version.

Can you clarify what you mean? If you have not Internet connection, you wouldn't be able to download any updated packages....

As an aside, as I try to call attention to in my sig block, Redhat Linux officially was discontinued two and half years ago. The Fedora Core project is its successor, and you might want to upgrade to that. If what you mean is the "up2date" functionality in Redhat is failing, the reason for that is because Redhat 9 is dead, and has been for years.

Yeah I don't think Red Hat 9 is supported any more via updates as far as I know. But Red Hat Enterprise Linux versions 3 and 4 , Workstation, Server etc. are still supported via updates. I don't know what version the OP is referring to though...
