I'm using Damn Small Linux and I'm trying to upgrade the kernel from 2.4 to 2.6. The installed version of GRUB 0.91 and apparently kernels 2.5+ require GRUB 0.97. Now my problem is that since Damn Small Linux don't produce any GRUB ports beyond 0.95, I'm having to install it from source. Do I need to remove GRUB 0.91 first or is there a way of upgrading it? And if I have to remove it, how would I go about doing it? (N.B. There's no official package manager governing the base system in Damn Small Linux)
