upgrading Gimp2.0pre1 to pre2
 

i installed Gimp2.0pre1 with RPM ... it was successful.

now i have Gimp 1.2.x and Gimp2pre1 running fine. when i downloaded the pre2 RPMs and attempted to 'upgrade' ... it gave me dependency errors and looks like some of these are components of Gimp 1.2.x

is it possible to do a upgrade on Gimp2 itself using RPM in this scenario ? i suspect even if i were to say 'rpm -e gimp2.0pre1', i will have some components of Gimp1.2 removed !

pls help

Try to remove gimp2. Even if it removes some components of gimp1.2, you can always reinstall it!!!
