Upgrade to RH 8

I have a test server of RH 7.2 and I want to upgrade to RH 8. Is there any way to upgrade to 8 or I have to reinstall from scratch. I also have Oracle 9i R2 on the same machine.

On all the other RH CD's I've used, when booting from the CD, upgrade is an option.

if you use apt4rpm u can

#apt-get update
#apt-get distupgrade

I never used it so check the sytax if you go this route

EDIT: and yes RH8 cd's allow for upgrade. I believe you can pass a parameter at boot or later in the install process it will look for RH installs and offer upgrade as an option. Never did this either. I usually just back up data and do fresh install. I like the idea of beginning a new, especially if it has been a while since I re-installed...it gets rid of pointless unused symlinks and left over config files for programs long since uninstalled. RPM has a habit of renaming config files with a .rpmsave extention incase you decide you want to use it again later...I don't care for that so if there are any I forgot to weed...a fresh cfdisk and install takes care of that.

good luck.
