Upgrade to 2.6 kernels -> quake3 little bug

I wrote quake3 in the topic because I found this bug just for this program.
I got this new bug when upgrading from a 2.4 kernel to 2.6 series.

When connecting to a server the first time, the game starts loading the map (whowing le load icons) and when load finish, the 3D map doesn't spawn ( we stay to the loading screen). But the game has not hanged up, because i can display the console. So then I type /reconnect to try if it works, and this works, the game now loads properly.

the kernels I tried were the the 2.6.4 and the 2.6.7. The last 2.4 kernel I tried was kernel 2.4.22 and all was working fine. All was compiled with gcc 3.3.1 on a 2.3.2 glibc.

Does somebody know this issue ?
