Updating software in Fedora problems

Hi all, more problems Im afraid,
Fedora installed, connects to net ok no problems but running software updates generates this error and fails - any ideas?

error is..

('file /usr/bin/gaim conflicts between attempted installs of pidgin-2.0.2-3.fc6.1 and gaim-2.0.0-0.31.beta6.fc6', (6, '/usr/bin/gaim', 0L))

Remove gaim and after that, install pidgin.
The former Gaim was replaced by pidgin.
Gaim project changed its name to Pidgin due due legal pressures from a not so nice internet company.

PS: to remove gaim, use "rpm -ev gaim"; update your system and install pidgin in this sequence.
