Updating rpms in mandrake 9.1 (need help configuring the software sources manager)

Hi, I'm trying make it easier to update rpms on my computer. The default update FTP is good for providing rpms for some files, but doesn't include many applications. I want to use this ftp, ftp://carroll.aset.psu.edu, to update my mandrake rpms since it seems to have A LOT of 9.1 RPMS, but I can't seem to get a configuration that works. I put in what I thought was the exact link to the 9.1 files (I cut out the filename in a link to an actual file on the server as pasted it in) but still no luck. I also made the hdlist= ../base/hdlist2.cz, but still no luck. I don't know much at all about configuring that stuff so if anyone has some good info, then please help. It's too bad that apt-get doesn't seem to work for mandrake. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Try Software Sources Manager -> Add a source.
Click the FTP tab, enter URL: ftp://carroll.aset.psu.edu/pub/linux...pdates/9.1/RPM
Relative link: ../base/hdlist.cz
No ftp details, it's anonymous.

Maybe change the relative link to the synthesis.hdlist.cz in here if you have problems.

I heard that URPMI was basically apt-get for Mdk.

Yeah, URPMI I think is supposed to be the apt-get for mandrake. I'm thinking that this link ftp://carroll.aset.psu.edu/pub/linux...1/contrib/RPMS is more the one I'm looking for because it has more than just the official mandrake updates. Not positive though. If anyone has any advice, it is more than welcome. Thank you for your time.
