Updating Linux
Hi,
I have installed ClarckConnect 1.2 which is based on RedHat 7.3. I want to have samba 2.2.8 (so I can also have swat) installed but it refuses to update it because there are missing modules. I tried to load needed modules but I simply got lost. I was wondering, if there is a possibility to update whole server with missing rpm's but I do not know how to do it. I am not willing to set up networking once more, it was enough pain allready :( So my question is, how to update this truncated RedHat 7.3 with normal RedHat 7.3? Thanks for help and best regards. I have a couple Clark boxes running around town and love them... Uptimes currently from 140s to 150s, running at 100% with SETI@home.
CC comes with apt installed and running. I guess if I wanted to try adding to the system, I'd start there. You can go to apt.freshrpms.net , and get different servers to put into the /etc/apt/sources.list . |
