Update YUM Fails

I installed yum-2.0.3-5.rh.fr.i386.rpm

After issuing the command: yum update rpm\* yum\*

I get:

Gathering header information file(s) from server(s)
Server: Red Hat Linux 3ES - i386 - freshrpms
retrygrab() failed for:
http://ayo.freshrpms.net/redhat/3ES/...rs/header.info
Executing failover method
failover: out of servers to try
Error getting file http://ayo.freshrpms.net/redhat/3ES/...rs/header.info
[Errno 4] IOError: HTTP Error 404: Not Found

Is the address wrong? If so, what should I do? Thanks.

freshrpms don't provide updates for rhel, only fedora and old style redhat releases

These are avalable on the site:

RedHat EL 3 dag.wieers.com/packages/yumi/yumi-2.0.7-2.1.el3.dag.noarch.rpm
RedHat EL 3 dag.wieers.com/packages/yum/yum-2.0.8-0.1.el3.rf.noarch.rpm
RedHat EL 3 dries.studentenweb.org/apt/redhat/el3/en/i386/RPMS.dries/pydar2-slave-0.037-1.1.el3.rf.noarch.rpm
RedHat EL 3 dag.wieers.com/packages/pydar2/pydar2-slave-0.037-1.1.el3.rf.noarch.rpm
RedHat EL 3 dag.wieers.com/packages/pydar2/pydar2-slave-0.033-1.1.el3.rf.noarch.rpm
RedHat EL 3 dag.wieers.com/packages/logwatch/logwatch-5.2.2-0.1.1.el3.dag.noarch.rpm

Which one should I get? Thanks.

You seem to have
Quote:

Server: Red Hat Linux 3ES - i386
so you want;
RedHat EL 3 dag.wieers.com/packages/yum/yum-2.0.8-0.1.el3.rf.noarch.rpm

You should be able to delete the freshrpms.repo file(s) from the /etc/yum.repos.d directory and simply do after installing the rpmforge-release package as per the directions;

yum update yum

If I try to do yum update yum, I get:

Insufficient server config - no servers found. Aborting.

The content of my yum.conf:

[main]
cachedir=/var/cache/yum
debuglevel=2
logfile=/var/log/yum.log
pkgpolicy=newest
distroverpkg=redhat-release
tolerant=1
exactarch=1

yes, you've installed a version of yum that is not compatible with your system.
