When the update manager processes updates there is an issue with the kernel updates. I had previously installed generic and xen server versions of the kernel and they are upgraded as well during some updates. How do I eliminate them for future kernel upgrades?
If you're using Ubuntu, do all your updates with synaptic. You can then "Mark all upgrades", then right click on linux-image and unmark it to avoid installing it, you may also do the same for it,s matching headers if you so choose.
