i installed the whole program fine into my home dir in a folder called ut2003_demo , to execute it, i go into that foler and type ./ut2003_demo which is the name of the file to make it run, and it just says
Couldn't run Unreal Tournament 2003 (ut2003-bin). Is UT2003_DATA_PATH set? what is this data path they speak of and how do i set it, thanks! |
Try typing (ut2003_demo). Without the (./).
If you're in KDE use your shell console and type ut2003_demo. Let me know if this works. I'm a total newb. :-) |
it dont wotk, and i already tried it, and it dont work because it is not a valad bash command to do that, and it has nothing telling it what to do with the name of the file
|
It works for me.
Oh well. Someone else will know how to help. Sorry I couldn't |
edit you .bash_profile or .bashrc in your home dir and this .....
UT2003_DATA_PATH=/usr/local/games/ut2003_demo/System export UT2003_DATA_PATH All in the same line.. Than envoke your profile by typing ". .bash_profile" |
