Ok here is the situation I am running Mandrake 9.1 on a machine with the following specs...
AMD XP 1700+
Asus 266 Mobo
Soundblaster Live! Platinum
Now the problem that I experience comes just after I install and attempt to run ut2003 (This is the demo version mind you). I get the UT splash screen and then nothing, so upon running the fine in the Terminal I get the error "Couldn't load proper GLX version" or something to that effect. I downloaded the latest drivers for my Kernel (at least I think for me kernel) and install them to no avail. I am not stuck with an X server error whenever I start my linux distro, and no working copy of UT2K3. I saw in another post of a similar nature that said to edit my /etc/X11/XF86config and add the line:
under the "Modules" section, and also to change in the "Driver" Section:
Does such a fix apply to me? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
