Reply : file /path/to/the/executable

it tells like this...

aterm: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, no machine, version 1 (SYSV), for GNU/Linux 2.0.0, dynamically linked (uses shared libs), stripped

In place of ARM, no machine is displayed...eventough i crosscompiled it with --target=arm.

1. while compiling i got the warning in the stripping stage of script.. like this ...

strip: Warning: Output file cannot represent architecture UNKNOWN!

2. i tried to do the crosscompilation with out stripping using arm-linux-strip... but i can't success..the stripping has been written somewhere in the makefile or configure script...

Is there any other way to solve this problem...why stripe command leads to such a warning?
