Unistalling mandrake 10
K i have installed mandrake 10 on my old pc and i have managed to work everything great up to know
but know i want to complete delete it of the drive ive tried booting from winXP , win98 abut wouldnt read the cd's wierd so i tried installing first win but cause there isnt enough space the operation fails .......... I have tried to make a boot disk of mandrake to see if i can find something there but i havent manage to create one ....... ANyway guys how will i completly remove the linux off my pc .... i have nothing in there so any command that will format the disk or anything else will do great thnx in advance |
google is your friend (sorry for the crap cliche).
Try searching for instructions on formatting your hard drive. You may have to download a boot disc, that will enable you to format the hdd and then apply the correct base file system so you can just re-install the XP regards John |

\but unforunately i couldnt find anythiong to help me i have tried numerous things , nothing managed to work so anything is appreciated thnx anyway |
Here is a method I have used in the past. Run the Mandrake installation CD and when the installer shows up press "F1" and type "expert" so that you have advanced options available to you. Go through the installation as if you are going to install and when you get to disk partitioning, delete all partitons, write the partition table to disk and then restart the pc.
