UninstallingAny help software

Hi Im a newbie at linux but am getting the hang of things thanks to this website. I recently installed gnomad2 for my mp3 player and everything worked fine but now it does not work properly. I was hoping to "uninstall" it and the re install it to see if that would fix the problem. the only thing is i don;t know how to uninstall software on fedora yet. any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

To start with how was it installed? Did you download and install it by RPM, or source. If it was an RPM, simply type "rpm -e <packagename>" at the command line and it should remove itself. If compiled from source, delete the old sources and re tar -xvf them into the same location, then recompile and it will replace it.

Type

rpm -q <packagename>

and if it replies with the package and it's version, it was installed via RPM and can be removed using the method above.

Welcome to LQ. :-)
