Uninstalling soure code apps


Hello,

I just wanted to know how to uninstall installed sourecode apps from frdora core 2 final.

As in apps you built from source? Just cd /path/to/source and then make uninstall

Sometimes this works if the application has a make uninstall. If not you'll have to locate the files with slocate or something similiar and delete them. If you installed them with rpm -ivh you can uninstall it with rpm -U . I havn't used RH in along time so i'm not sure if that's the exact command; should be very similar.

You should use "rpm -e" to unstall RPM packages.
