uninstallind star office 5.2


i have staroffice installed in my system for multiuser. and i want to remove star office completly from my system.

how can i do this.

I am pretty sure it came with an uninstaller... if not it is an rpm isn't it?

If so open a console and type rpm -e staroffice.rpm

i got no uninstaller with it nor it is an rpm. it has deinstaller to remove it for a particular user.

i want to remove it from system.

Can't you run deinstaller as root and it will remove from everyone?

i tried it earlier but then it deinstalls for the user root

i believe that i can safely delete the program directory. will it work. which are the config files of star office? .

I read that you should run the setup, and it will give the option to uninstall. The other thing I read said after you uninstall you can delete the folder, but do a 'find' or a 'locate' to make sure you delete everything.
