HI guys,

I downloaded Gift / Fastrack and Giftoxic last night.

I've installed them in the usual way 'rpm -Uvh filename' on redhat 9.0

An icon appeared on my menu under 'internet' for giftoxic, but when I selected to run this, I got a message saying that GIFT could not be started.

I decided to uninstall all 3 applications, but when I enter......

$ rpm -e giftoxic

The cursor moves to a new blank line and then does nothing.
The icon has now gone from my menu, and I'm unable to install the application again as it says that the package is already installed.

Is there nowhere in redhat GUI I can actually see the additional packages I have installed and can select to remove them?

First try rpm -rebuilddb just in case the database is fscked up.

Usually the file is in the form <package name>.rpm

Install command:
rpm -i packagename.rpm

Uninstall command:
rpm -e packagename

Notice there is no .rpm after.
