Unable to use Opera browser.

I was using Opera for a couple of weeks without problems, but now, when I click on the short-cut, I get the following error message:
The desktop entry file/usi/share/applications/opera.desktop has no Type=... entry.
I think it is usi (above) but can't quite make the final letter out.
I have tried reinstalling but doesn't seem to help.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

It does look like a typo in your desktop shortcut (It should read /usr instead of /usi). What happens when you run Opera from a terminal?
