Unable to handle kernel paging request ...

I have a server running Linux version 2.6.12-1.1381_FC3 and it randomly goes into a loop. The error log says this:

Jul 6 07:17:07 imagineoutloud kernel: Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address 656d616c
Jul 6 07:17:07 imagineoutloud kernel: printing eip:
Jul 6 07:17:07 imagineoutloud kernel: c0195e0e
Jul 6 07:17:07 imagineoutloud kernel: *pde = 00000000
Jul 6 07:17:07 imagineoutloud kernel: Oops: 0000 [#1]
Jul 6 07:17:07 imagineoutloud kernel: Modules linked in: parport_pc lp parport autofs4 sunrpc md5 ipv6 ipt_state iptable_filt
er iptable_nat ip_conntrack ip_tables loop dm_mod video button battery ac uhci_hcd ehci_hcd snd_via82xx gameport snd_ac97_code ...

Is this a hardware (memory) problem or a Linux bug with the build or something else?

Thanks for your thoughts!!!!

Sounds like bad ram or other hardware issue to me. I would try recompiling the kernel, and also running memtest off a knoppix disk.
