Installed fedora11 inside Virtualbox 3.0.4 free version(Not OSS version). Install process completed without any error, but after reboot when the user is supposed to create a regular user account, neither the mouse is captured, nor I can navigate using the keyboard in guest(Screenshot attached, the arrow near the centre of screen is that of guest, and the one near upper corner of screen is of host). What should I do?
I've had problems with using USB devices (and bluetooth) to install Fedora. Maybe try using PS/2 keyboard (assuming you can dig one up somewhere) and see if that gets you past the installer. Another option is to try the text installer instead of the GUI one.
^All the packages are installed, and after reboot it shows the welcome screen. But I can't proceed further. Using on a laptop. Tried using laptop's keyboard as well as a ps/2 keyboard attached to USB port.
I've only used virtual box once or twice, so I'm not that familiar. I have however had similar problems with using Fedora inside Parallels (on Mac). The solution was to pick a different OS type when you create the virtual machine. I think using Solaris instead of Linux worked. Not really sure why. It must present the hardware differently to the guest or something along those lines. Just something else for you to try.
