Hi all,
im running mandriva-2008, kernel - 2.6.22.9-desktop, with nvidia - 7300gs.
But when i open compiz,,it says-- "your system doesnt support 3d effects"..
Which package or settings am i missing..
Tried googling for compiz +nvidia 7300,,,,but no fruitful results.
Can somebody pls help !!!!!
First of all, it doesn't look as if you're using the Nvidia binary driver, but nv + mesa. Most of the guides that you will see on the Internet will explain how to setup compiz with the nvidia binary driver.
I'm not sure if compiz supports nv + mesa. If you can move to the binary driver, then it will make your life easier if you want compiz.
But i have another system which has onboard nvidia 6150. And it detected the 3d compiz effects ,,during the install itself....while 7300 doesnt seem to be working.
Ive downloaded the driver for 7300 from nvidia. It wud be helpful if any body cud post me a nice followed and trusted link for my case.
If any body thinks that there could be more info that i need to post bout my system apart from glxinfo,,then please point me out.
Thanx
