Ugly menus in openoffice/libreoffice

1 Attachment(s)
I was using latest ooffice in ubuntu 10.10 and the main menus were being displayed very ugly (attached image)

So, I upgraded to libreoffice (using the ppa), but the same thing occurs.

what is wrong?

It looks like the theme of the window manager. You can change the look by changing the window manager theme.

I don't know whether this is a theme issue or not.

I don't particularly like the default toolbars' look in either Open Office or LibreOffice.

Mostly, I'd like to find a way to make the icons smaller, but so far I haven't found an option for that within the either program. But this is definitely a problem I can live with.

That's the menu bar, it has nothing to do with the window manager.

It's the GTK+ theme that's the issue here.

I changed the gtk's theme and it is displaying correctly now. Thanks.
