When I upgrage from 7.10 to Hardy heron over the net and re-boot the computer will not connect (wifi) to the internet? I can see all the setting but can't make it connect, any help would be appriciated.
Open a terminal and enter "sudo ifconfig -a" See if your wireless is there. Also try dmesg or lspci.
With dmesg, use something like:
dmesg|grep eth
OR
dmesg|grep wlan
If the card does not show up in dmesg or ifconfig -a, it is likely that you need to install a driver.
Please tell us the make and model of your wireless card. It should be in the computer specs or in lspci.
