I just installed Feisty on my G5 using the alternate cd and text installer. Everything went great. Once the install was over, get to the screen where you can choose to boot from linux/gnu or cd. i push "l" and that send me through an unending cycle where this is what comes on my screen:

First Stage Ubuntu Bootstrap

Press l for GNU/Linux,
c for CDROM.

Stage 1 Boot:
Loading second stage bootstrap..._

Then there is a flashing folder icon in the middle of the screen, that changes to having a "?" in the middle of the screen to having the icon apple faces (finder's symbol)

Any thoughts might help. I am wondering if this is due to my partitions. I just used the guided partition on the ubuntu install and selected the entire disk.
