ubuntu 12.4 Amnesia-or hardware?
 

An elderly Toshiba Laptop running Ubuntu 12 has started asking for the router code at every start up.
Is this an O/S glitch or ailing computer
Is there a fix please.

What network manager are you using? Usually there is a configuration file where password is kept. Have you checked to see if it is there?

after much poking in the tabs the 'wireless authorization field now shows the code,but when activated puts up the blank field to be re enr[tered.
II have also manually swithed the wire on/off/on by a switch also this machine has wireless control via Fn/F8 utilized that also

Bt still it need entering.
