Ubuntu 12.06, 64 bit version, will not install.

I have tried 3 times with new downloads over the last 3 weeks to get the latest version of Ubuntu to install.
It doesn't really say anything, I click on install and I get a message, Starting up partitioner, then nothing. It asks if I want to send a problem in, I click on yes, it does it's thing and then says we have it, that's it!

Not much to go on I know.

System is plenty powerful enough, plenty of disk space.

Test the iso download, shal or md5.
If passes then re-burn the iso to a quality disk and at the very slowest speed you can. See if any change happens.

I already did all that, 3 times. All 3 times the disks checked out, they are fine. Something else is wrong and I can,t figure it out.

My current version is 10.04 Lucid Lynx, The version I am trying to go to is 12.04.

I welcome all ideas.

The obvious first, you do have a 64 bit machine, correct?
Are you using a LiveCD with the options to Try without Installing or Install? If so, do you get to the Desktop when you select the Try option?
