TVtime doesn't give a nice image

I just installed mandrake 10.1 and I have a hauppage 887 chipset i think or something like that.
The trouble is that I can watch TV but I hav no sound (should be line-in) and the image is not very well and black and white. I've tried to switch to all possible PAL possibilities but none worked.
I am in Belgium so that should be regular PAL.

What do I have to do?

Did you mean to mark this "[SOLVED]"?

If so, kindly post the solution -- even though this is an old post, it still might help someone else w/ the same problem.
