TuxRacer Problems - The penguin don't move

I was trying to play the TuxRacer game. The game runs extremely slow. The penguin becomes burried in the snow. The control over the penguins movements are non-resposive or over-responsive. Is this something with my video card setup? What do you think it could be? Please let me know cause this looks like a cool game to play. Also, It will probobaly speed up my PSX emulator. I am running fluxbox on a P4 128mb memory, 1.3Ghz, 500mb swap space, and an NVidia 64 mb Video card.

I checked out the link. I have an NVidia MX-400 card. I think that driver is for a newer card. Right not I have the card set-up as an nvidia generic.

Do what AltF4 said, go get the drivers for your NVidia card. Is is a pretty simple install. With the Nvidia drivers you will notice a huge difference in both 2D and 3D performance.

NVidia has a nice forum as well that can answer your "how to's" for installation.

Good Luck.

I just added the nvidia driver and the grapghics acceleration is working well. The penguin still is swaying to the left without pressing any keys. It could be the joystick on my computer. I will have to check tomorrow. It is 4:00am here....I'm hitting the hay soon.

and IBall as of your Intel 810 gfx card, you will also have to get drivers, which are distributed on intels site and there are a couple of third party vendors that have them also...just try www.google.ca/linux to poke around for them...even do a search on this site, and you'll find a few threads that may be helpful..
