OK. I understand.
I am fairly new to Linux. Know a lot about FBSD.
Need to learn Veritas. Comming from small installations to large data centers including Veritas volume managers and clustering. Including HP, Sun and guess what Linux.
I have downloaded RH4-3 AS and could install Symantec's product on that, but like what Centos is doing. Bearly know yum/exyum/rpm or up2date.
I have attemped to download the rpm package that appears to be needed. Tried to install it but it complained about conflicts with the other rpm. Forced the install(--force). It installed and talked about three files -
/etc/redhat-release
/etc/issue
/etc/issue.net
The installation still complains and aborts.
Do you think the foundation suite install script needs to be tweaked ?
Maybe I didn't install the correct redhat-release rpm ?
I think your right, but I need some hints...
