Trying to install mplayer

I am trying to install mplayer. These are the rpms that I have downloaded.
mplayer-1.0pre3-1.i386.rpm
mplayer-common-1.0pre3-1.i386.rpm
mplayer-font-iso9-1.1-1.noarch.rpm
mplayer-gui-1.0pre3-1.i386.rpm
player-skin-default-1.0-2.noarch.rpm

When I tried to install these I received the following messages:
warning: mplayer-1.0pre3-1.i386.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID 28a26067
warning: only V3 signatures can be verified, skipping V4 signature
warning: only V3 signatures can be verified, skipping V4 signature
error: Failed dependencies:
libmp3lame.so.0 is needed by mplayer-1.0pre3-1
libmp3lame.so.0 is needed by mplayer-gui-1.0pre3-1

So, I downloaded lame-3.92-3.src.rpm and installed it. When I installed it, I received the message:
warning: user hany does not exist - using root
warning: group hany does not exist - using root
warning: user hany does not exist - using root
warning: group hany does not exist - using root
1:lame ########################################### [100%]
This looked like it was successful so I tried to install the mplayer rpms again and still received the same messages. Any ideas? I am running Red Hat 9.

I think that file is probably in lame-libs package and not the lame package.
