trying to get a working mplayer-plugin

hi. im having some troubles with the plugin for mplayer. I have Mplayer-1.Opre6-3.3.3 and not sure which mplayer-plugin to get for that version. Getting the newest mplayer-plugin i get the error that says i need version 0.90 or higher. On sourceforge i only see packages for v1.Opre2. I have gotten the plugin to work before. Is there no plugin for my version yet? i am trying to get it working on FC2. Any help would be appreciated.

edit: using firefox as well

Try using mozplugger instead of mplayer-plugin, I get much better results with it and it supports just about any X appliction as well.

http://freshmeat.net/projects/mplayerplug-in/

you dont even have to login as root and dont even have to su in a terminal, just unpack in your home directory then:

./configure

make

make install

it puts the plugin in your .mozilla directory
