trying to build QUOTA


after partitioning a new /dev/hda5 with ext3 file system, which was mounted as /home , iwas trying to create quota limits for users and groups.i did the following steps and i'm getting some erros :

1- fstab line :

/dev/hda5       /home    ext3    defaults,usrquota,grpquota       1   1
2-
Code:
touch /home/quota.user /home/quota.group
3-
Code:
quotecheck -augv
4- when i'm trying to issue
Code:
 quotaon -a
, i'm getting the follwoing error

Code:
quota.user and quota.group are not supported by the kernal...
what should i do at that point ???

You named them wrong (if you are using RH).
They should be aquota.user and aquota.group
those are the names system expects
